Hester Cheng Nguyen | vCard
Hester Cheng Nguyen is a member of Garcia & Gurney’s business and employment practice group. Her practice centers around representing and counseling businesses on labor and employment and corporate matters. Ms. Nguyen’s experience encompasses counseling employers on workforce management and termination issues, wage and hour compliance, employee classification issues, and employee handbook and workplace policies. In addition, Ms. Nguyen devotes a significant amount time advising and representing businesses on entity formation, contract negotiation, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and other day-to-day business issues. Ms. Nguyen represents clients from a variety of industries, including technology, education and staffing, transportation, insurance, and financial companies, restaurants, and health care facilities.
Prior to joining Garcia & Gurney, Ms. Nguyen worked alongside Senior Counsel at a Fortune 500 company, interned at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and worked with other employment and corporate attorneys throughout the greater Bay Area providing assistance to their employment and business law matters.
Ms. Nguyen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine and her law degree from Santa Clara University, School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Nguyen participated in Honors Moot Court and was also a member of, and served on the editorial board of, the Santa Clara Computer & High Technology Law Journal (now known as the Santa Clara High Technology Law Journal).
Having lived in the Bay Area all her life, Ms. Nguyen is excited to build on her career helping Bay Area businesses grow.
