Lindsay R. Batcha is a member of Garcia & Gurney’s civil litigation practice group. The focus of her practice with the firm is substantially devoted to advising and representing clients in a wide range of employment and business matters, including civil litigation of wage and hour, wrongful termination, harassment, retaliation, discrimination, and breach of contract claims.
Prior to joining Garcia & Gurney, Ms. Batcha’s practice was focused on civil litigation, specializing in employment matters in both federal and state courts. Ms. Batcha has represented numerous clients in a wide range of employment related matters before the CA Labor Commissioner, CA Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, the CA Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
Ms. Batcha received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Chico, where she majored in communication and minored in Spanish. While at Chico, she was on the Speech and Debate Team and studied abroad at El Tecnológico de Monterrey in Guadalajara. Ms. Batcha graduated from Chico cum laude, with honors, and ranked first in her graduating major. She is licensed to practice law before all courts of the State of California and the United States District Courts for Northern and Eastern California.
Ms. Batcha is a life-long Bay Area resident, and is active in providing community service as a member of St. Vincent De Paul.
