Mr. Kerpsack is in Garcia & Gurney’s transactional group. Before joining Garcia & Gurney, Mr. Kerpsack worked in-house for tech companies such as Instacart, Ziff Davis, and Affirm, Inc. During this time, he contributed a wide range of corporate matters, including international privacy laws, trademark portfolio management, and compliance with finance laws and marketing. Before law school, Mr. Kerpsack additionally worked as a paralegal in an employment law firm and for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Mr. Kerpsack earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings Law. During his first year of law school, he achieved two CALI awards and two Witkin awards. During his second year of law school, Mr. Kerpsack worked in the school’s Startup Legal Garage, assisting early-stage companies with legal compliance, formation, and financing. During his third year of law school, he joined the 9th Circuit recognized alternate dispute resolution team and competed in an international alternate dispute resolution competition in New Orleans. He also studied international business law and intellectual property law for a semester in Madrid, Spain.
Mr. Kerpsack enjoys playing videogames, technology, snowboarding, and reading fiction in his spare time.
