Pol Minguet joined Garcia & Gurney in 2025 and is a member of the firm’s Business and Employment Litigation Group. He represents individuals and businesses in a broad range of litigation matters, including business disputes, shareholder and derivative actions, executive compensation, labor and employment matters, and buyout disagreements. He advocates for clients in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration forums.
Pol brings over a decade of international legal experience to his practice, having studied and trained in Belgium, Luxembourg, Canada, and the United States. He earned his LL.B. and LL.M. in civil law from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium and completed an academic exchange at the University of Montreal. He later received his LL.M. from the University of Virginia School of Law and earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law. Throughout his academic journey, Pol served as class president, was a member of his school’s student council, participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, won a university-wide debate competition, appeared on the Dean’s List, and received a Pro Bono Award for his work in immigration law.
In addition to his legal practice, Pol serves as a Lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
Outside the office, Pol enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, experimenting in the kitchen as an amateur chef, and staying active through boxing. A well-traveled individual, he has a deep appreciation for discovering new places and cultures.
