Andrew San Jose joined Garcia & Gurney in 2023. With a father who ran his own small law firm, Andrew grew up immersed in the legal world and held a lifelong ambition to become an attorney. His unwavering dedication led him to discover a profound passion for business, corporate, and transactional law. His goal is to provide invaluable assistance and counsel to businesses throughout every phase of their lifecycle.

Andrew is in Garcia & Gurney’s Business Transactions Group. He offers guidance to employers on a wide spectrum of transactional and business law matters governed by both California state laws and federal regulations. His areas of practice encompass mergers and acquisitions, employment law, executive compensation, intellectual property, international business transactions, entity formations, and commercial real estate transactions.SA

Andrew attended the prestigious University of California, Berkeley where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. He then went on to study law at Santa Clara University School of Law, earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, and was an inaugural member of the newly established Tech Edge J.D. certificate program. During law school, Andrew served on the boards of multiple law school organizations, most notably the Internet Law Student Organization (ILSO), the Filipino American Law Society (FALS), and the Society for Interactive Entertainment and Gaming Law (SIEGL).

Beyond his legal pursuits, Andrew is an avid sports fan, passionately supporting his alma mater, the California Golden Bears, as well as many Los Angeles sports teams like the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Rams. In addition to his sports fandom, he is also an amateur chef and an aficionado of breakfast foods.
